(aka: Aucuba 'Rozanne') Aucuba japonica 'Rozannie'...no relation to 'Roseanne Roseannadanna', is a long-time garden favorite that forms a very tight, compact, 4.5' tall x 6' wide evergreen specimen.
Aucuba 'Rozannie' grows well in both in the woodland or in half day sun as long as the soil drains well. The stems are adorned with nicely serrated 5" long x 2.25" wide glossy, dark green leaves. Aucuba japonica Rozannie is reportedly self-fruiting, but many of us have not observed anything other than typical female fruiting traits.
Extensive long-term trials in cold climates have found this to be one of the most cold hardy of all aucubas.
