Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' is a white form of the wild, mostly blue original. It was introduced in 1950, won an RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993, and, to quote Christopher Lloyd, is both "the strongest growing" and "dazzling." It certainly has larger flowers than the species. Best under trees and shrubs, but try near the front of a shady border.
